Christmas

Christmas has come and gone. My stomach is full for the next couple weeks. Things are going well. It is a nice time of relaxation. A lot of good time with family and friends. My parents just left for Croatia to visit my brother Dan, so it is a quiet house. I hope and pray that everyone has had a great Christmas and enjoy the rest of the holiday! Now if only we could get some snow…

Going Home

I’m heading home tomorrow morning. This will be nice. I am looking forward to driving my field-beater car. Those who know the Acclaim to Fame, it is still running. In fact, it likes to run through big mud puddles and do power-slides through the fields, along with sounding louder than a race car with its 6 inch exhaust pipe. I know it’s redneck, but I miss it. Anyway, my parents don’t have high-speed Internet, so I may not be updating this blog as much as I would like to. Have a great Christmas everyone.

Freedom!

School is officially done. I finished my last exam at about 4 pm. It feels good. Now I have three weeks to relax and not think about school. I also have gotten the position of managing editor for On Your Own magazine. This is a magazine put out by the school for first year students when they come in September. Everyone in my program has to pick a specialized direction for their last semester. This position will be a lot of work, but it should be a lot of fun also. My long-term goal is to be the editor of a magazine, and so this is great preparation for that.

The Weekend

The weekend is here. Just a few more assignments and one exam left to go. One assignment is a magazine article on living cheap. I figure I should be an expert on that. Dollarama is a great place for groceries, even bread. That is my secret. That and packing as much laundry as I can into a load to save money at the laundromat. Or snagging as many sugar and salt packages as you can at fast food places. Anyway, just a few days left. Heather and I will be taking off next Saturday morning to head home for three weeks. Hopefully that is enough time to get some much needed wedding planning done.

Noah

This is from the last time I was at home. My brother Scott and his wife Angela came to my parents house, so I went for a visit. They also brought Noah, he is such a cute little baby.

First Entry

I have started this blog so that I don't fall so hopelessly behind in keeping up with people. I know I am bad at it. It doesn't help that school keeps me very busy, along with part time work, wedding planning, and newspaper work. I will be done classes on the 14th, but have to work the 15th. I should be home on soon after that. As for now, I’m done on the newspaper. I only have one exam looming, but I am absolutely swamped with assignments and stories. Blah.
I am also looking to buy a car by the time I get back from Christmas. Maybe a Mazda Protégé, Honda Civic, Acura Integra, or a VW Golf. I love car shopping. I am also looking to upgrade from my camera. I’m looking for a Nikon D70s, have you seen one for sale?
That’s all for now.
