Done

School is officially done. Construction begins soon. I have a week off until that starts, so I will spend most of that at home. It feels kind of weird to be done, because I haven't been in a classroom for a month. Friday I officially finished my diploma in Print Journalism.

New Site

I have another site, adrianmedia.blogspot.com. This site should feature my latest stories. It is designed to show people what I have written and show off my writing for those interested in hiring my as a freelance writer. Check it out.

One Week Left

One week until I finish my diploma. My internship is going really good. I enjoy working at the Whig. They put me to work, but that’s a good thing. I don’t end up with a lot of time in Belleville because I generally work about 9 hours plus a one hour drive each way. Heather and I now have our first apartment. I will live there on May 1, and she will come up after the wedding (until then, she will work on the farm at home). It’s a nice place at 52 College Street. Although I was counting on a job in journalism, it fell through, but the Lord has blessed me with a job in construction. I will still be doing freelance journalism, just not a staff job.

Big Whig

Classes are now done. The only part left of school is my internship. So far I am over a week through it (it’s only 4 weeks), and it is going great. I am working for the Kingston Whig-Standard, which is a fairly large daily newspaper in Kingston. I am a general assignment reporter, which means I am doing all kinds of writing on various topics. It is a bit of a change going from a student-run weekly paper to a bigger daily. I am also driving close to an hour each way every day. Thankfully we have a CD player in the car now. My stories can been seen at thewhig.com, usually under the local news section.
